Service area

AV, security and networking in Patchogue

Downtown is busy in a way most of the county is not, and it is busiest at exactly the hours a bar or restaurant cannot have an installer standing in the middle of the room.

The village runs late, so the work does too

Trade here does not stop at six, and a room that is full seven nights is a room where the working day is not really available. Coring a wall or pulling speaker cable over a dining table during service is not a serious plan.

So more of what we do in this village happens overnight than anywhere else we go. That is not a complaint — it is simply how the job gets done without an owner having to close on a Friday so somebody can avoid an early start.

Getting the gear to the door

Parking is the other constraint and it is a genuine one. A loading bay is rare, a space directly outside is rarer, and a rack that has to come off the van in a single trip is a different proposition from one that can be walked in over three.

Written down that sounds like a small thing. On site it decides whether a two-day fit is two days, which is why it belongs in the conversation at quoting rather than turning up as a surprise on the first morning.

New frontages, older rooms

A tidy shopfront does not tell you much about what is behind it. Plenty of these rooms are considerably older than their signage, and a wall that looks like modern board turns out to be something else entirely once it is opened.

It does not stop anything. It does mean routes get checked before a layout is agreed, because a quote is only honest if it accounts for what is actually inside the structure.

Common questions

Can you install without closing the room?

Often, and that is usually the point of working overnight. Some stages — coring, anything over a dining area, anything needing a lift — need the floor empty, and those get scheduled for the quietest window rather than assumed away.

Do you work nights here?

Regularly. It is the normal pattern for hospitality work in this village rather than an exception we charge as a favour.

Do you take on homes here as well as venues?

Yes. The downtown work is mostly hospitality, but residential work in the surrounding streets is a steady part of what we do.
